We’re starting off the year with some exciting news at OpenSesame. We just learned one of our course publishers, Lumofy, was selected by HolonIQ as a top 50 EdTech provider in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) for 2021.
HolonIQ is one of the world’s leading platforms for market intelligence, and it powers governments, technology companies and investment firms around the world with their innovative data on the global economy.
The 2021 Middle East and North Africa EdTech 50 is an annual award, and the goal of it is to showcase the most promising educational technology startups from the region by identifying ones that are innovative and fast-growing. MENA is an overwhelmingly diverse and expansive region that connects 600 million people across three continents.
The 50 awardees were chosen out of more than 700 edtech startups in MENA and were graded based on a criteria of acquired capital and product momentum.
“We achieved this remarkable milestone because of our team’s dedication, the tireless commitment towards our vision and the clients who trusted and believed in us,” says Mahmood Malik, Head of Experience at Lumofy.
Started in 2020, Lumofy is a data-backed, automated learning experience platform that organizations can deploy to map competencies, measure skills and accelerate personal development. Operating out of Bahrain, it offers more than 1700 learning items in both Arabic and English. Its mission is to change the way people learn.
